ABOUT

WHAT IS FRUE AOMORI?

A living legend of Brazilian music, the tour finale in the miraculous Aomori!

Winner of numerous music awards, including two Latin Grammy Awards, including the Portuguese Best Roots Music Album Award (2019) and the Trofeu APCA (Brazil's most important cultural award) Best Popular Music Soloist Award (1973), jazz giant Miles Davis called him "one of the most important musicians on the planet. Hermeto Pascoal, whom jazz great Miles Davis called "one of the most important musicians on the planet," is one of the greatest musicians and composers of our time.

His music has been called "música universal" (music that transcends the boundaries of Brazilian music), and his unparalleled talent and prolific output have been a constant inspiration to musicians of all styles from around the world. Elumate's music is unusual, but has the magical power to be truly enjoyable for adults and children alike.

El Meto has chosen Nango, Hachinohe City, Aomori as the final stop on his tour, which begins on November 1. In their last visit to Japan, the tour final was in Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

I don't know if it was by design, but the number "8" is an auspicious number in Japan, meaning "the end of a long road," and in the West, meaning endless and powerful good fortune and "strong ties," so I feel like I was mysteriously led to this number by fate.

The fact is that the last visit to Japan in 2019 was very likely to be the last.

It is no exaggeration to say that it is a miracle that El Meto and its strongest band members will come from the other side of the earth again before us after three years of the Corona Vortex.

El Meto's music is something special that touches people's hearts, transcending various boundaries of age, borders, and musical genres. Don't miss the opportunity to join them on the last day of their tour and experience their magic!

"A soul-stirring music experience!" With this concept, we have held FESTIVAL de FRUE, a semi-open-air music festival in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture, in early November 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
We book musicians from all over the world who carry a strong, deep, and dense spirituality from various music genres such as jazz, rock, world, techno, and electronic music.
We hope that by coming into contact with the rich spirit and music of different cultures and climates, our often rigid consciousness will be greatly shaken, and our perspectives and views will be further broadened.
In a society where the economy takes top priority and human relations are becoming less and less, and where people are divided by coronas, we believe that there is no substitute for encountering great music and sharing a soul-stirring experience together, transcending nationality, race, and generation.
In early November, the typhoon season is over, and the long The autumn rain fronts that bring rain are moving south, and the Japanese archipelago is often covered by a mobile high-pressure system with clear blue skies.
We have been blessed with miraculously good weather and climate for the past four years, and this year will be no different!
The future remains difficult to see, but we hope you will join us in our small activities. Thank you in advance.

Hon Hachinohe Station
Mikkaicho District

Hachinohe's downtown area is the Mikkaicho district, about 5 kilometers east of Hachinohe Station. In terms of stations, it is Hon-Hachinohe Station.
The downtown area is a 10-minute walk from Hachinohe Station.
Hachinohe Station is considered to be the station where the Shinkansen bullet train stops, and it is best to plan all accommodations and restaurants at Hon Hachinohe Station.
If you want to visit izakaya (Japanese-style pubs) at night, we recommend booking a hotel with Hachinohe Yataimura Miroku Yokocho set as the surrounding area.
